Harrison County Three-Day Feed Status

The Harrison County Sheriff's Office publishes a current inmate-search entry point linked to a vendor-hosted JailTracker. Neither source is labeled as a 72-hour release list. No official 48-hour Mississippi feed was verified either. A web result for a similarly named county in Missouri is the wrong jurisdiction and should be rejected.

HCSO says it attempts to update jail information regularly and warns that facts can change quickly. It does not define the cadence, retain departed entries for a stated number of days, or promise a public release timestamp and photo for each booking. Those gaps mean a three-day list must be requested from the record custodian instead of reconstructed from names that are missing today.

The Public Records Division, not the live roster, is the county channel for asking whether a report can be produced for an exact date range.

Set Harrison County's 72-Hour Range

A rolling 72-hour period is not always the same as three named calendar dates. If the check begins at 3 p.m. Monday, the range begins at 3 p.m. Friday. A request for “the weekend” may instead mean Friday evening through Monday morning. Write both timestamps and specify local time. This prevents the first or last part of the desired period from being dropped.

For a list of all events, ask whether the jail-management system can generate a release report between those exact timestamps. For one person, give the full legal name, aliases or spelling variants, date of birth if appropriate, booking number if known, and approximate booking date. Ask for a fee estimate. Harrison County does not publish a fixed charge or promised response time for a jail release report.

2. Check Harrison JailTracker for present custody and preserve the check time.
3. Search Mississippi VINE for an agency-reported release, transfer, escape, or return-to-custody event.
4. Contact HCSO Public Records and request the release report or named booking/release sheet.
5. Match each event to the court order or receiving custodian when the classification is unclear.

Note: A fixed calendar range is easier for a custodian to search and can be repeated later without shifting as a rolling window does.

Harrison County Weekend Release Checks

A three-day span can bridge hours when the Public Records Division is closed. Its published schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. That does not mean the Adult Detention Center stops processing releases outside those office hours. It means the public request may not be handled until staff is available. No official weekend or holiday release schedule was found.

The court calendar may help explain a bond order, dismissal, sentence action, or other legal event, but a scheduled hearing does not prove the hearing occurred. Harrison County also separates Circuit, County, and Justice docket lanes. Identify the correct case number and obtain the filed order, then compare it with the sheriff's actual release time. A weekend crossing several docket systems requires care.

Biloxi municipal cases add another path. Official city material shows that municipal prisoners may be housed at HCADC or Stone County Regional Correctional Center while Biloxi Municipal Court handles the case. A person can leave Harrison's roster during a three-day window because confinement moved to Stone County. That is not release into the community.

Court timing and jail timing may also differ. A judge can enter an order during the requested span while release processing finishes later, or an order can send the person to another custodian. Request both the filed order and the jail timestamp. If the three-day range includes a court closure, note that fact without assuming it delayed the jail. Harrison County publishes no rule that converts a court date into an exit time.

Harrison County 72-Hour Record Fields

There is no verified online field inventory for a Harrison County three-day feed. The table identifies fields to request from the custodian, not fields promised by a public screen. An agency response may use other names or lawfully withhold material.

Request the booking photograph separately if it matters. The Sheriff's published description says release staff takes an operational photograph during identity-controlled processing, but it does not say that image appears in a public archive. The booking photo and release-process photo should not be treated as interchangeable.

Obtain Harrison County Release Reports

The Sheriff's contact directory and Public Resources page identify the Public Records Division at 228-896-0626, fax 228-896-0625. Published hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mail can be addressed to HCSO Public Records Division, P.O. Box 1480, Gulfport, MS 39502. The site did not supply a working dedicated booking-release request form during research.

Ask for all jail releases recorded between the stated start and end timestamps, then define the desired fields. If the need concerns one person, ask for that booking/release sheet instead of an aggregate report. Request the release date and time, type, destination or receiving agency, charges, bond entries, and booking photograph. Keep a copy and the agency's response.

Trace Harrison County Custody Movement

Removal from HCADC can mean community release, but it can also mean an MDOC commitment, transfer to another county, hospital movement, federal custody, or another agency. The Harrison County Inmate Work Center houses sentenced state prisoners through county and MDOC cooperation. Leaving that center may be parole, discharge, or transfer to a different MDOC placement.

VINE can carry a registration forward when a county-level offender enters MDOC or “other custody.” That handoff helps prevent a transfer from being mistaken for freedom, though the notice may not name every receiving authority. Ask HCSO for the destination and then check the identified system.

When MDOC becomes the custodian, use the inmate search and parolee search, then request written records if the public fields do not resolve status. MDOC inmate details can show a Tentative Release Date, Location, Unit, and Location Change Date. An ERS unit can mean physical community placement with continuing state jurisdiction. A tentative date is not an actual discharge date, and a blank field should remain unexplained until MDOC supplies the record.

Harrison County Release Operations

The Sheriff's Corrections and Transport Division page describes the Adult Detention Center and the cooperative Work Center. HCADC opened in 1990 with a stated 760-bed design capacity, reached about 1,400 people before Hurricane Katrina, and later reported an average daily population around 800 to 900. These facts show a large, changing operation but do not prove any specific web-update lag.

For only the most recent day, use the Harrison County 24-hour release process. That narrower request can reduce the volume of records when a same-day event is the real question. Both paths require the same discipline: define time, identify the custodian, and obtain the event record.
