Search Harrison County Released Inmates

Harrison County released inmates are traced through the agency that last held or supervised them. A search for Harrison County released inmates begins with the current jail docket, but it cannot end there because a person normally drops from that view after departure. County release records, Mississippi corrections records, court orders, and custody notifications answer different parts of the question. Harrison County released inmates may have returned to the community, entered supervision, or moved to another custodian. Matching those sources reveals the actual release type, date, destination, and any authority that continues afterward.

Harrison County Release Records Explained

A Harrison County jail release means the Harrison County Adult Detention Center ended the identified custody event. It does not always mean the person entered the community. The same departure can be classified as bond, time served, court-ordered release, transfer to the Mississippi Department of Corrections, movement to another jail, or handoff to a federal authority. The record's destination matters as much as its date.

HCSO's live jail page is built for current detention. A matching entry supports present listing at that moment. When the name is gone, the search has reached a question the live roster cannot answer by itself. Name variation, data correction, transfer, or release may explain the absence. The durable source is the booking and release record held by the Sheriff, read with the court or receiving agency record.

Detainer
A request or hold that can route a person to another authority when one custody term ends.

Harrison County Release Record Fields

Harrison County does not publish an official field dictionary for its jail-management system. A precise request should therefore name the facts sought. Ask by detention event, not simply whether the person is absent today. Include the full name, approximate booking date, and booking number when known. The custodian may use different labels, redact a field, or state that it was not recorded.

FieldWhat it shows
Full name and aliasesThe identity attached to the booking event
Booking numberThe unique link to the jail episode
Booking date and timeWhen county custody was entered
Release date and timeWhen that custody event ended
Release typeThe jail's classification, such as bond or time served
Destination or receiving agencyWhether custody continued elsewhere
Charges and bond entriesThe case and financial entries tied to the booking
Booking photographAn identity image when public and retained

A court order and jail record answer separate questions. An order may authorize bond, dismiss a charge, impose time served, suspend a sentence, or commit a person to MDOC. The release sheet provides the actual local-custody timestamp and may name the destination. Both should agree before a legal disposition is used to describe what physically happened.

Roster absence is not a release record. It does not state the time, reason, destination, or whether another authority continued custody.

Obtain Harrison County Release Records

The Sheriff's Public Resources page lists the Public Records Division at 228-896-0626 and fax 228-896-0625, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. HCSO's mailing address is P.O. Box 1480, Gulfport, MS 39502. A dedicated working online form for booking and release sheets was not verified. The site mentions identification with its police-report process, but that condition should not be generalized to every jail request without direction from the custodian.

  1. Identify the person with full name, spelling variants, approximate date of birth, booking date, and booking number when available.
  2. Ask for the booking sheet or jail card plus booking and release timestamps.
  3. Request the recorded release type, destination or receiving agency, charges, bond entries, and booking photo if public.
  4. Ask in advance for the fee, method of delivery, and whether inspection is available. No fixed booking-record price or response time was published.
  5. Compare the response with the responsible court or receiving custodian and keep both records together.

For an MDOC case, the written request goes through the agency's public-records channel. Mississippi's corrections policy is adopted under the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, Miss. Code Ann. § 25-61-1 et seq. MDOC says telephone public-record requests are not accepted, though its Records Department can route questions about offender time, jail credit, and eligibility dates at 601-933-2889.

Note: Online display length and agency record retention are different issues; Harrison County publishes no promise that a departed booking remains searchable.

Harrison County Release Identity Checks

Harrison County has published a concrete account of its release workflow. The Corrections Specialist description says staff explains how a person is being released, uses iris recognition to ensure the right person is released, and photographs the person during processing. These steps show identity control inside the facility. They do not establish that the operational photograph is public or identical to the booking photo.

The 2026 inmate handbook states that issued property must be returned at release except for hygiene items. No public release-hour schedule, exit-door instructions, gate funds, ride-home service, or weekend timetable was found. Ask the Warden's Office about an unpublished procedure when needed, but use the release record to document the event.

What time does Harrison County release inmates? No fixed public time was verified. A court order or bond payment may begin the process, while identification, property, other holds, and record entry can affect when the person actually leaves.

Harrison County Bond Release Fee

The Sheriff inmate-search page states that a $25 processing fee is added per bond, effective July 1, 2025, and links an AllPaid payment route. This is a local bond-processing charge. It should not be expanded into a general booking fee, a daily charge, or a debt attached to every release.

Bond permits physical pretrial release under the controlling terms. It does not close the criminal case. Confirm payment and the Sheriff's release record, then obtain the bond order and later disposition from the correct court. Another warrant or detainer can prevent community release even when one bond is addressed.

Harrison County Records and Expungement

The Mississippi Public Records Act supplies an access framework, not a guarantee that every requested field exists or is public. Exempt content can be withheld or redacted. Juvenile, sealed, and expunged matters require special care. A lawful restriction should not be bypassed through stale copies or mirrors.

Harrison County's Public Resources page collects a local expungement handbook, statutory material, a motion, and a proposed order. That collection is a starting point, not a ruling that someone qualifies. Miss. Code § 99-19-71 governs major conviction-expunction categories, and 2026 legislative action affected its text. Eligibility depends on the current law, offense, disposition, dates, completion of required terms, and a signed order from the court of conviction.

An expunged or sealed matter may stop appearing in an ordinary public docket. Silence does not prove that no detention occurred. Ask the custodian whether a redacted response, nonconfidential certification, or statement that no public record is available can be supplied. The court order controls access to the case, while independent correctional records may follow their own lawful process.

Find Harrison County Released Inmates

The search must begin by classifying custody. Harrison JailTracker addresses present county listing. MDOC addresses a state sentence or community supervision. VINE relays events supplied by participating agencies. Harrison court schedules help locate the case but do not certify an actual jail exit. BOP and ICE cover distinct federal systems.

  1. Collect the full legal name, variants, date of birth, likely facility, custody dates, and booking or agency number.
  2. Check the Harrison Sheriff current-custody search. Record the search time and any returned identifier.
  3. Search Mississippi VINE for the exact person and read the supplying facility and event carefully.
  4. When an MDOC transfer or sentence is possible, search both MDOC inmate and parolee records.
  5. Identify the Harrison court, case number, and filed order. A schedule entry is only a lead.
  6. Use BOP, ICE, or a federal court and USMS inquiry only when that custody system applies.
  7. Request the county booking/release sheet if no public historical source states the actual exit.

A person still listed at HCADC has not been shown as released. A person missing from it has not been shown as free. The records request closes that gap by asking for the event, release classification, and destination. The Harrison County 24-hour release process narrows the same approach to a defined recent period.

Harrison County MDOC Release Search

The MDOC inmate search accepts first name, last name, or MDOC ID. It is relevant to state prisoners and certain people on Earned Release Supervision, not every person who left HCADC. The separate parolee search accepts name or MDOC ID plus city and county fields. A parolee result supports community supervision, not full discharge.

The interface must be read with its detail fields, since the word “inmate” does not always mean the person remains inside a prison.

MDOC Records lists P.O. Box 24388, Jackson, MS 39225, telephone 601-933-2889, and MDOCRecordsDepartment@mdoc.state.ms.us. The phone can help route a question, but the agency requires public-record requests in writing. Ask narrowly for the actual release or discharge record, offender time computation, or status record, and include the MDOC ID whenever possible.

Harrison County ERS Release Status

An MDOC “Inmate Details” result can describe physical community placement. An official example lists an Earned Release Supervision location even though ERS is a community phase. The person has left prison walls but remains within MDOC jurisdiction and may be returned after a violation. Location, Unit, Location Change Date, and the parolee search should be read together.

MDOC distinguishes an ERS date, a tentative release date, and a maximum release date. None should be relabeled as the actual day a person left custody. A blank tentative field supplies no estimate, while a populated date can change. For full discharge or an official time computation, request the agency record.

Does an MDOC result prove current confinement? No. An ERS unit can reflect a person living in the community under state authority. Conversely, disappearance from the public search does not prove discharge because web retention and every former-offender status are not guaranteed.

Harrison County Release Court Lanes

Harrison County separates criminal-relevant schedules among Circuit Court, County Court, and Justice Court. Each can be searched by last name or date, but these pages are calendars rather than demonstrated complete case histories. A hearing listing identifies a possible case and clerk. It does not prove what the judge decided or when jail custody ended.

Search every plausible lane with spelling variants. Record the case number, court, judicial district, charge, and date. Then request the filed judgment, sentencing order, dismissal or nolle prosequi order, bond order, probation or revocation order, and later discharge entry when applicable. Harrison County has two judicial districts, so confirm the right clerk before sending a request.

Once the case is found, the signed order explains the legal result and the Sheriff or MDOC record supplies the custody movement.

Biloxi municipal prisoners can be housed at HCADC or, under official city agreements, Stone County Regional Correctional Center while Biloxi Municipal Court controls the case. A municipal case location and physical jail location may differ. Trace both before describing a Harrison County release.

Harrison County Release System Boundaries

Mississippi SAVIN uses VINE to carry custody notices from participating county jails and MDOC. The Harrison Sheriff homepage directs visitors to VINE, confirming the local handoff. Notices can include release, transfer, temporary movement, escape, return to custody after absconding, and absconding from supervision. Registration is strongest before the expected event. The source agency remains the place to obtain documentary proof.

For a sentenced federal prisoner, the BOP Inmate Locator can display a release date and “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody.” That establishes only BOP status. A different authority or supervision may follow. A federal pretrial detainee may remain with the U.S. Marshals Service and never appear as a sentenced BOP prisoner.

ICE operates a separate locator that can cover current adult detention and a limited period after reported release. An A-number with country of birth is the strongest route. No active BOP prison, dedicated ICE detention center, or current ICE contract at HCADC was verified in Harrison County, so those systems are fallbacks rather than local facilities.

Use the right custodian: county jail, MDOC, BOP, USMS, and ICE records cannot substitute for one another.

Harrison County Release Facilities

The Harrison County Adult Detention Center at 10451 Larkin Smith Drive is the primary county jail. A true community release may follow bond, time served, or a court order, but an exit can also be a transfer. HCSO says the present center was completed in 1990 for $20 million with a 760-bed design capacity, reached about 1,400 people before Hurricane Katrina, and later averaged roughly 800 to 900. Those figures give context, not a release count or update rate.

The Harrison County Inmate Work Center / Community Work Center at 10046 Lorraine Road houses about 140 to 160 sentenced state prisoners through HCSO and MDOC cooperation. A person leaving that placement remains an MDOC case unless state records establish parole, ERS, or discharge. Work outside the facility does not itself mean release.

The three paths reflect different custodians. The facility that appears on an arrest story may not be the office that holds the final release or discharge record. Start with the last confirmed location and follow every documented transfer.
